Here are some tips and tricks to make your handpainting with kids successful:
• Use paper plates for the paint. It’s fun for the kids and clean up is easy.
• Have baby wipes handy. I like to wipe their hands to get majority of the paint off then send them off to the sink to wash the rest of the paint off. Wipes are a MUST if you’re doing footprints!
• Got multiple kids?? No problem! Have the oldest to their handprint first. Once that print is dry, have the next child do their handprint in a lighter paint color. Continue till all handprints are done.
• Babies are a bit more tricky. I found it best to do their prints while they slept. For my toddlers, I distracted them with screen time.
However you do it, just remember, it’s those little imperfections in their handprint make this gift perfect!
